Every discipline under one technical baseline

Process, electrical, civil and integration in one team, so the interfaces between them are ours to resolve rather than yours to chase.

01Process & balance of plant
02Electrical & I&C
03Civil & structural
04Plant integration & FEED

Split a plant across four engineering firms and you create three boundaries where information is lost. The pipe rack gets designed to a load case nobody updated. The cable schedule assumes a motor that changed size. Each gap is small, and together they are most of what goes wrong on site.

We keep the disciplines in one office working to a single technical baseline. Scope, interfaces and documentation are closed before a deliverable is issued, and the traceability holds from concept through commissioning.

// What this covers

Inside the scope

01

Process & balance of plant

Process design for EAF, LF, VD/VOD and secondary metallurgy; mass and energy balance; fume treatment; utilities; water treatment and slag handling; HAZOP and safety instrumented systems.

02

Electrical & I&C

Power supply studies, MV/LV distribution, MCC design, cable routing, ATEX/DSEAR area classification, EMC studies for arc furnace interference, and energy management to ISO 50001.

03

Civil & structural

Melt shop buildings to 40 m span with double crane runways, foundations for furnace vessels and transformers, pipe racks, utility tunnels and seismic design to Eurocode 8.

04

Plant integration & FEED

Multidisciplinary coordination, interface management, scope definition and the technical baseline that keeps the other three disciplines coherent.

Where we have done it

A 150 M EUR civil and structural scope for an integrated melt shop complex in the Middle East. Tata Steel ULC: full balance-of-plant and cooling engineering. Tata Steel Port Talbot: electrical and detail wiring design for EAF, LF and Consteel, with platforms and piping. Frisa (Mexico, 2024): basic and detail engineering of a material handling system across mechanical, electrical, automation and structural.
