Basic and detail engineering of EAF tapping, shell transfer and empty ladle transfer cars, together with a steel shop ladle.
Transfer cars set the rhythm of a melt shop. They carry hundreds of tonnes of steel and vessel through a hot, dirty environment on a cycle that repeats every heat, and the first one built is the one that goes into service, because there is no prototype run.
We delivered basic and detail engineering for three car types (EAF tapping, shell transfer and empty ladle transfer) plus a steel shop ladle, each engineered to the plant's layout and production cycle rather than adapted from a catalogue.
Heavy-duty rail, wheel and drive design was sized for long service life in a foundry environment, with integrated weighing feeding the Level 2 heat model and remote control and diagnostics tied into Level 1 automation.
Equipment matched to one plant's cycle, with the weighing and control interfaces designed in rather than retrofitted. The ladle was engineered to ASME structural design with full NDT weld control.
If this looks like your plant, the fastest route is a short call with the engineer who did the work.
